Kimberly Caldwell, born February 25, 1982 in Katy, Texas, began a career in the entertainment industry at age 5, singing for beauty pageants. By 2001, Kimberly Caldwell was already a five-time “Star Search” junior winner, has joined the second season of “Popstars: USA,” and has performed at the Grand Ole Opry and the 50th wedding anniversary of George and Barbara Bush. When Caldwell joined “American Idol” in 2002, she was already a star. Finishing 7th place on the show’s second season, Kimberly Caldwell immediately had several job offers, such as working as a correspondent for FOX Sports Network’s “54321” and as an ‘Idol’ correspondent for TV Guide Network.

After landing a correspondent position for TV Guide Network, Kimberly Caldwell appeared on over a dozen TVG shows as a regular guest, co-host, correspondent and as an “Idol expert.” She has been featured on “Access Hollywood,” “Inside Edition,” “Extra,” and “Inside Edition,” and has been the only second season Idol to grace the cover of “Maxim” magazine. Kimberly Caldwell has covered several award shows from the red carpet, but became more famous when the season 7 winner David Cook asked her out live, which turned into a romantic relationship for most of 2008.

In 2006, Kimberly Caldwell released her version of the 1987 classic “Who Will You Run To.” She has also released three singles – “Fear of Flying,” “Gave Yourself Away” and “Taking Back My Life” – and will be launching her debut album with the help of American Idol judge Randy Jackson and legendary songwriter Diane Warren soon.

Aside from her music and hosting gigs, Kimberly Caldwell has also graced the silver screen in the 2007 movie “Wrong Turn 2: Dead End” and appeared on the six-part miniseries “twentysixmiles.” Some of Kimberly’s recent projects include a hosting position for the CBS show “Jingles” and MTV’s “P.Diddy Starmaker.” Caldwell is the face of YMI Jeanswear’s fall 2009 campaign.
